Recognize the Shamanic Call

The shamanic gift is a gift that generally happens in the family line. In native peoples, often a shaman's son or daughter will be chosen to become a shaman. Nevertheless, it is not a question of genetic transmission: certain shamanic talents can indeed be genetically inherited, but very often a child who comes into the world with this mission of life will choose to be born in a family which knows how to recognize his gifts and transmit to him the techniques necessary to implement shamanic practice. Most often, these gifts belong to the maternal line. Unfortunately, in our Western society, shamanic symptoms are often misunderstood or misunderstood, and treated like real illnesses.

Criteria inscribed in the history of man can tell us if the Spirits have chosen us to become shamans and call us to this mission of life. The Spirits leave signs in the body, the soul and the spirit of the future shaman, signs which can be read and recognized in non-ordinary reality, and by a society which is accustomed to recognizing future shamans. In Siberia for example, as soon as the child presents one of the shamanic symptoms, the family visits a shaman so that he recognizes (or not) the child being a shaman. The shamans indeed know how to recognize each other. If legitimization takes place, the child will leave to live years of shamanic learning, confirmed by the initiation that the Spirits will offer him in the non-ordinary world during his education.

 

Without having received recognition and initiation in the non-ordinary world AND in the ordinary world, no one can call himself a shaman. Nevertheless, anyone can become an excellent shamanic practitioner.

To be able to recognize the shamanic signs in yourselves, answer the following questions and find out if the Spirits are calling you, if your life mission is part of shamanism. Physical signs are not common and normally distinguish future great shamans. The features mentioned are the most common, other signs may occur.

FAMILY LINE:

• Do any of your parents or grandparents have paranormal gifts? For example: gifts of telepathy, ability to have premonitory or lucid dreams, talents as a cartomancer, to heal by the laying on of hands or the ability to bear or release physical pain...

PHYSICAL SIGNS:

• Were you born still covered (the whole body or only the head) in the amniotic membrane? it is typical of who has a special relationship with the Spirits.

• Were you born with one or more fingers / toes stuck together, or too many?

• Are you or have you been epileptic?

• Do you have a physical infirmity from birth or from childhood? Most often, shamans have episodes of deafness or limping.

• Have you had an apparently serious disease, but with bizarre symptoms that cannot be classified by medicine? It is then the typical sacred disease, almost certain symbol of a shamanic call.

• Have you had a chronic and incurable disease since your childhood or adolescence? It could be a different case of sacred disease.

• Have you had a totally white lock of hair since childhood or early adolescence?

• Have you survived a fire, a shipwreck or a serious accident? Did you almost drown?

• Have you been struck by lightning, or by a violent electric shock?

• Did you survive a severe coma or apparent death? or were you on the verge of death, fainting? The shamans then say that you have been in the Land of the Dead and you have come out of it. Since this trip, we normally bring back shamanic powers.

PERSONALITY SIGNS:

• Children, did you want to go to the woods and stay there for a long time, alone, even at night?

• Children, were you lonely? Were you considered eccentric or different from others?

• Have you ever healed another person, such as laying on of hands or prayer?

• Have you ever experienced premonition phenomena? Or objective and verifiable deja vu phenomena? (for example, going to an unknown place, knowing what will be found behind a bend, telling someone and verifying its accuracy)

• Do you have a very active dream life with often unusual content?

• Have you encountered the same animal several times in your dreams or in reality?

• Have you ever had premonitory dreams or bringing unknown but verifiable information about the past to you?

• Have you had visions of ghosts, aliens or Spirits contacting you?
